Haug confident Schumacher will win once the car is ready to do so

Mercedes-Benz Vice President of Motorsport, Norbert Haug, declared to the German 'Bild' that he is convinced Michael Schumacher will once again be a Grand Prix winner once the car improves in terms of race pace.

So far in his comeback season, the seven-time World Champion has been out-qualified and out-raced by team-mate Nico Rosberg and this raises a lot of questions with the fans and the press. It has been rumoured already that Schumacher will not complete his three-year contract with the Mercedes GP team.

Haug denied this rumour by saying: "I know that Michael is highly motivated and wants to make his comeback long-term and with long-term success. He knows what he wants and knows what he can do. He has crystal clear ideas and enjoys his job.

"Once our car can do it, Michael will always be able to do it."
