Sebastian Vettel has taken his 11th pole position this season. He will be joined by teammate Mark Webber on the front row for tomorrow's Singaporean Grand Prix. Jenson Button posted the third fastest time and will also be aside of his teammate on the starting grid.

The heat is on again at Singapore, with air temperature still at 30°C in the evening. Nobody is awaiting it to cool down though - fortunately - as nearly everybody decides to go out in the first 4 minutes.

Rubens Barrichello is the first to take the track, completing a lap of the Singaporean circuit in 1:51.042. He is running the prime tyres and goes for 3 timed laps in a single stint.

3 minutes later though it's Button who tops the timesheets, ahead of Hamilton, Vettel, Webber and Kobayashi. Massa then gets into 4th while Fernando Alonso came out a little later. Just like Barrichello though, all top runners are using the primes to complete several laps on the same set of Pirellis.

At the second pass, Vettel takes the lead by 6 tenths. Button is than second and ahead of Hamilton, Alonso, Webber, Rosberg, Massa, Di Resta, Schumacher and Kobayashi. With a gap of more than one second between Massa and Di Resta, everybody in the top 7 at this moment are likely safe to stay in the box for the remainder of Q1.

With 5 minutes left on the clock, a lot of drivers are out again, now on the super soft red marked tyres. The action is all about the LRGP drivers who are struggling to find some pace in their cars.

In the end, Senna managed to kick out his own teammate, getting himself into P15. Out are Petrov, Kovalainen, Trulli, Glock, D'Ambrosio, Ricciardo and Liuzzi.

Hamilton and Barrichello are first out in Q2. Barrichello for the usual running while Hamilton is out on for a banker run on primes after his team handled some diffuser damage done to his car during Q1.

Red Bull and Button are all out on the super soft option tyres, trying to do a single flying lap to get through to Q3. Moment later though Kobayashi sticks into the wall after taking too much curb in the notorious Micky Mouse chicane of turn 10. The session is red-flagged to get the car out of the way.

Vettel at the time is in the lead, ahead of Button, Webber, Alonso, Hamilton, Di Resta, Sutil, Barrichello and Maldonado. Others, including Felipe Massa were on track but could not set their time before the red flag dropped.

As the session restarted 5 minutes later, Massa immediately takes the track on the same options as he was running on before the cut. Massa takes 5th on his first attempt and goes into the pits again immediately. Schumacher gets into 6th and Rosberg 7th.

Hamilton is only 8th and tried to set a lap on options but suffered a right rear puncture before making it to the finish line. He didn't come under any threat though, and along with him, through to Q3 are both Force India cars.

Eliminated after Q2 are Perez, Barrichello, Maldonado,Buemi, Senna, Alguersuari and obviously Kobayashi.

As the lights go green, Button is the first to take the track, ahead of Alonso and Massa. Hamilton rumbled a bit with Massa in the warm-up lap and Massa eventually decided to let Hamilton go. Massa would eventually ruin his flying lap due to a mistake, whereas Vettel, as expected, went fastest. Hamilton second, Button third, Webber fourth and Alonso only 5th.

The Force India car's didn't take the track whereas Mercedes GP choose to do a single flying lap towards the end of the session.

Apart from FI, Hamilton chooses not to go out at the end of the session, saving a set of tyres as he could otherwise get into trouble during the race.

Rosberg is the first to ends his flying lap, getting into 6th, behind Alonso. Seconds later Massa gets into 6th. Vettel had a bad final lap while Mark Webber put himself into second place, completing a Red Bull front row. Button will be third on tomorrow's grid.
