Force India looking for top 3 in 2012
Force India has enormous ambition to do even better than they already have done in F1. By word of Andy Stevenson, the team aims for a top three finish as a team, with the very minimum being a constructors championship finish in between the best 5 teams.
Talking to ESPN, Andy Stevenson, the team's sporting director said: "I think realistically I have to say the top 3, I'd never say the top four. I still think there is a very real possibility for us to achieve that. Fifth is what we look at as a minimum."
The team has finished 10th, 8th, 7th and 6th in the constructor's championship since it entered Formula One, and thanks to new additional funding by Sahara it is confident that there is still room for progress.
Force India has its car ready for a full pre-season, and the team is certainly optimistic about it.
"I've seen the car, and it certainly looks good. But, until it comes on track, you don't know. We do know what the figures are, and we have confidence in the car that we've designed, but we don't know what the guys down the road have done."
