Force India team member leaves Bahrain after incident with Molotov cocktail
One of the team members of Force India has decided to return home after an incident on Wednesday evening. A car with four Force India mechancis was almost hit by a Molotov cocktail as they got caught up in a clash between Bahraini protestors and the police on the road to Manama. The four mechanics were unharmed, but one of their colleagues decided to leave the Gulf State.
In Bahrain the situation remains tensed especially as some of the protesters have called for 3 days of protests during the Formula One weekend.
Both the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone have guaranteed the safety of the team personnel and drivers, but with this incident, it becomes more and more clear that the situation in the Gulf State has come to a boiling point, which means that nobody's safety can be assured.
