Hamilton stays on top in FP2
Lewis Hamilton continued to top the timesheets, again from early on in the session until the very end. Sebastian Vettel and his team mate Mark Webber completed the top three, while championship contender Fernando Alonso went fifth fastest around Interlagos.
The session kicked off feverishly with Button and Vettel quite busy on track in the first 20 minutes. Vettel emerged on top, ahead of Button and closely followed by Fernando Alonso. Hamilton is 2 tenths off and ahead of Massa, but at this moment the times are still more than a second off of FP1 pace.
The beginning of the session also saw many drivers locking up into turn 1, including Nico Hulkenberg and Felipe Massa. The latter is seemingly trying out different things, as he already spun in FP1 and is here and there going over the kerbs pretty aggresively.
Half an hour later, drivers begin with runs on the softer tyre, with again Hamilton emerging on top of the timesheet, as was the case in FP1. Vettel lost time in the second sector and settles for 2nd, more than two tenths off of the McLaren. A few minutes later, Mark Webber slips into third, 4 tenths away from Hamilton.
20 minutes from the end, the Marussia of Pic is parked on the grass at Bico de Pato. The Frenchman already completed 31 laps so in term of race preparation this should not be a worry. HRT on the other hand are running surprisingly few laps, with only 20 in total so far.
The end of the session then didn't bring many changes in laptime, with Hamilton, among others continuing to use the harder tyre. Button on the other hand had a bad lockup, just as well as Massa, the latter providing the spectacle in Brazil today.
