The stewards at the Indian Grand Prix have fined Red Bull Racing an amount of €25000 following Sebastian Vettel's donuts done after the race on the pit straight.

An FIA statement reads: "The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, heard from the driver and team representative, examined video/audio evidence, have considered the following matter, and determine a breach of the regulations has been committed by the competitor named below and impose the penalty"

The stewards found that Vettel didn't proceed directly from the circuit to parc fermé, as required in Article 43.3 of the FIA Formula One Regulations.

However, the stewards have decided that after hearing all parties, the competing team should be fined because they failed to inform well enough.

"Due to the special circumstance the Stewards accepted the explanation of the driver. The team failed to instruct the driver sufficiently to return directly to post race parc fermé."
