Petrobas named runner-up

The WilliamsF1 Team’s fuel, and long term partner, Petrobras, has reached second position in the industry’s ethics, transparency and corporate directions table, as assessed by independent research agency, Management and Excellence.

Classified seventh in the last research poll, Petrobras has since achieved the strongest step forward among its competitors and now stands as one of the most responsible oil firms worldwide, having surpassed global giants including Total, ExxonMobil and Chevron.

Holding equal status with British Petroleum, Petrobras secured an overall rating of 85.52 percent in the classification, a score 30 percent greater than the average attained by the companies polled. In all marked categories, Petrobras consistently scored higher than the majority, most notably securing first place for Corporate Direction and second for its environmental policies.

Perhaps most importantly, however, the study commends Petrobras’ firm commitment to transparent working practices, achieved by actively engaging with its consumers over its long history.

Petrobras has been fuelling the WilliamsF1 Team since 1998 through an on going technical sponsorship that has brought many technological and environmental benefits to both companies. Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg will both enjoy the advances that Petrobras are certain to deliver for the forthcoming F1 season, with this technological know-how in turn making an important contribution to the development of fuels for a wide variety of every day applications.
