McLaren presents new livery for Spanish GP
McLaren Honda will run its cars with a revised livery at the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix. The team appears to be set to continue with this livery throughout the remainder of the season.
Having had its car painted silver, with red stripes and black sidepods and rear wing, the new livery does away with the silver, opting for black and Honda red instead.
While fans had hoped for the iconic white and red to return, the black is striking nonetheless, and may have been in the works for a long time. Rumours surfaced already at the season opening Australian Grand Prix that McLaren was still using some kind of interim livery before a major overhaul.
The black and red should distinguish the car better from others, including the Sahara Force India which in some television images appeared to resemble a lot the colours of the McLaren Honda in the beginning of the season.
