Hamilton completes Monza practice domination
Having already topped both Friday practice sessions, Lewis Hamilton continued to reign in practice by setting the fastest lap in a damp / dry final session ahead of qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix.
The damp track in the first half hour of the session limited running to some reconnaissance laps on wet tyres until the sun did its work and allowed everyone to go out on slicks.
Yet again it was Hamilton who came out on top, ahead of Vettel who managed to set the second fastest time of a session for the first time this weekend.
Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa notably found better pace compared to Friday, now slotting into 4th and 5th, this time ahead of both Lotus and Force India, similarly powered by Mercedes power units.
Kimi Raikkonen was 7th fastest, and slower than his teammate, as he has always been this weekend.
The problems in this session befell to Jenson Button who struggled with his brakes throughout the session whereas Daniel Ricciardo stopped on track early with a suspected engine problem.
