Alonso just wants to win

World Champion, Fernando Alonso, entered his last season with the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team, but claims to be only focussed on defending his title. The Spaniard keeps on claiming that his transfer to the McLaren Mercedes Team in 2007 will effect his performance.

Fernando Alonso "I want to be champion again, and I will do everything I can to make it happen. I want to win, just like the whole Renault team. I am more relaxed this year as well: my future is certain, and I can concentrate 100% on my driving. So there's no problem. We have been competitive in testing and we are ready for the first race, but we will only know what shape we are in after practice."

Practice, just like pre-season testing, proved once again that the Renault F1 Team is ready for the kick-off of the 2006 Formula One season.
