Verstappen fastest in final practice
Max Verstappen was the fastest man in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton was less than a tenth slower than the Red Bull driver, while Daniel Ricciardo followed up with the third best time.
Following an anonymous Friday, Nico Rosberg returned to the front with the 4th best time.
Next up was Valtteri Bottas, followed by the two Ferrari drivers who appeared to have lost some ground after being fastest on Friday.
The eventual timing sheet may however have little significance, given that many drivers struggled to find a lap out of traffic. Red Bull seemed to have got things right, while Hamilton was rather vocal of his opinion on Mercedes putting him out on track in heavy traffic.
Earlier on, it was Hamilton who had the edge on the soft Pirelli tyres, topping Ricciardo, Verstappen and Vettel.
