R5 to make its debut tomorrow
One team not present at this week’s Jerez testing session was Jaguar Racing, the Milton Keynes based squad focusing all their attention on making sure the new R5 is up to speed ahead of its formal launch next weekend, the 18th of January.
As a preliminary to its unveiling, regular driver Mark Webber will put the new car through its initial paces at the Lommel facility in Belgium tomorrow, the Australian driver set to give the R5 a basic straight line test before it undergoes a further three days of stress tests.
One good thing for the team however is that the new car, which is an evolution of the R4 with a traditional sleek nose, has already passed the all important FIA crash tests…
