FP2: Raikkonen ahead as Vettel scrubs wall

Ferrari's flying Finn, Kimi Raikkonen topped Friday's practice at Singapore, narrowly edging out Lewis Hamilton who ended up a close second, at just 0.011s. Max Verstappen led Red Bull's challenge but was half a second down.

Daniel Ricciardo, who ended FP1 as the fastest man, was fourth fastest and 6 tenths down on the pace setter, triggering him quickly to say that he believes Red Bull are not the favourites at this track, contrary to Monaco earlier on in the season.

Valtteri Bottas was 5th fastest and still very close to the Red Bulls ahead, while Carlos Sainz led the midfield runners for Renault, 1.5s down on Raikkonen. Romain Grosjean and Fernando Alonso followed in 7th and 8th.

Sebastian Vettel just made it into the top 10, even though he only managed to complete 12 laps. The German became a little too familiar with the wall on the penultimate corner of a quick lap. He quickly returned to the pits. While it seemed that there was no real car damage, Ferrari or Vettel still opted to end their day early.

Nico Hulkenberg completed the top 10, making sure Renault continues to be in the top 10 with both its cars.
