McLaren completes shakedown at Barcelona
McLaren has become the latest team to complete a shakedown after the Woking-based outfit turned its brand-new car, the MCL35 on at the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya.
Each team is permitted to complete a filming day during the season when they have to run Pirelli’s special hard tyres and cannot exceed the running milage of 100km. After Mercedes and Red Bull completed their filming day at Silverstone, Alpha Tauri at Misano and Alfa Romeo at Fiorano, it was McLaren’s turn on Sunday to try their new machine out on a real track.
The British squad made the best of their filming day at the sunny Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, recording thrilling shots during the day. Even a MCL35-inspired McLaren 720S was in action throughout the day.
First day on track, complete. 👏

Busy day at Grove
Over at Grove, it was an intensive day for the Rokit Williams Racing team as well. The British squad held its final factory preparation for the congested 2020 pre-season testing. After turning 22 yesterday, George Russell had a seat fitting and a conversation with engineers about the brand-new FW43.
The team had an embarassing pre-season preparation last year after it was forced to delay the start of the work and was hindered by the lack of parts throughout the entirety of the winter running. Following a troubled season, the team hopes for better fortunes this year. After Robert Kubica departed from Williams after only a single season, the team will participate in the 2020 F1 season with George Russell who will commence his second year in the sport and with rookie driver Nicholas Latifi who finished second in Formula 2 last year.
