Williams reveal striking new livery for the 2020 F1 season
The Williams F1 Team has today unveiled its striking new livery with which it intends to participate in the 2020 F1 season that is set to get underway at the Austrian Grand Prix at next weekend.
When Williams unveiled its 2020 F1 car in February, the design featured an exciting combination of red, blue and white colours. The entire livery was designed around the Grove-based team’s main sponsor, ROKiT.
However, the team has announced at the end of May that it would part ways with the British telecommunication company with immediate effect. After terminating its relationship with its title partner, ROKiT, and major sponsor, ROK Drinks, Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams signalled the British outfit’s intention to make tweaks to the 2020 car’s livery ahead of the first race of the delayed 2020 season.
The new design features a white and two-tone blue livery while the red colour has completely disappeared. While Williams is on the look out for new sponsors, the new livery allowed bigger advertising spots for its actual major sponsors. The Belgian holding company, Sofina appears on the sidpods while the names of two other major sponsors, Acronis and Lavazza have been placed on to upper part of the engine cover.
