Norris, who is currently on holiday in Dubai, recognised the symptoms of loss of taste and smell. He underwent a test for Covid-19 and returned a positive result.
The British driver immediately informed his team and everyone who has been in contact with recently. He is now self-isolating at his hotel for 14 days.
The Bristol-born driver is feeling well and has not reported other symptoms. In a twitter post, he confirmed that „I feel alright and have no other symptoms,"
Norris became the fourth Formula One driver to return a positive Covid-19 test result after Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton previously contracted the virus. Of the trio, Perez was forced to sit out two races while Hamilton was required to miss the Sakhir Grand Prix.
