Aston Martin announces its new title partner
The Aston Martin F1 Team has today revealed its new title sponsor with which it will make its return to the sport in the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship.
The Silverstone-based Racing Point outfit announced last January that it would morph into Aston Martin works team for the 2021 Formula 1 season, The team has today confirmed that it would ditch its striking pink livery for this year and would race in predominantly green colours.
The team has also revealed its new title sponsor with the American multinational IT brand Cognizant taking over the role of the previous main partner BWT.
Commenting on the announcement, Lawrence Stroll, Chairman of the Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team said: “The return of Aston Martin to Formula One after more than 60 years away is a landmark moment in the history of the sport.
„Everyone knows what Aston Martin stands for, but the Formula One team will allow us to take the essence of the brand to new places, building on the strong foundations laid by the previous iterations of the team.”
