Alfa Romeo confirms Zadara and Adler Group as partners
Sauber Motorsport, hich manages and operates the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN entry in the Formula One world championship, announced that it will be extending its partnership with the Adler Group.
The two companies first joined forces back in 2019 and the contact extension means that their cooperation will be extended for a third season running. The partnership will see the two companies extend the range of activities in which co-operation is possible.
Commenting on the announcement, Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG said: “The renewal of our partnership with Adler Group is a natural evolution of the work we have been doing in recent years.
„As two key players in different sections of the automotive world, we share challenges and values and we have a lot in common, meaning this partnership is a good incentive to share know-how and promote the growth of both our companies.”
According to the agreement, the Adler Group branding will be seen on the team’s cars and on all team properties. The Adler Group produces an extensive range of components for the automotive, aerospace and rail transport industries. The wide range of activities of the Sauber Group and Engineering will lead to many synergies between the companies.
Paolo Scudieri, Chairman Adler Group added: “Our passion for technological evolution is at the base of the industrial developments that bring forward innovation in the automotive sector, both on track and on the roads.
„We are proud to share this passion, as well as the competitive challenges that highlight the spirit of Italian excellence in the world of composite materials, with Sauber and Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and we are looking forward to another successful year of working together,“ Scudieri said.
The Hinwil-based outfit has confirmed Zadara as the team’s Official Cloud Supplier. The partnership will see Zadara’s cloud services streamline Sauber Motorsport’s cloud infrastructure, while enhancing performance and improving latency, making race data readily available.
Nelson Nahum, CEO of Zadara commented: “Formula One begins long before you get to the track, with the engineering and design of the car.
„Engineering relies on massive amounts of data, collected in locations around the world. This data is also needed for split-second decisions made during the race. We are proud to be Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN’s Cloud Supplier and are excited for this race season,“ Nahum concluded.
The branding and logo of the US cloud services provider will be seen the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN C41’s bodywork, with the American company’s logos also featured on the drivers’ and crew overalls during the 2021 season.
“Data plays an ever-important role in what we do at Sauber Motorsport,“ added Vasseur. „Being able to make data-driven decisions in near real-time, and having a cloud technology partner like Zadara to ensure data from our cars and drivers is captured, secured, and transported to the right place at the right time, means this is a partnership we not only value but depend on to deliver performance on and off the track.”
