JV shines in Intel ad

Intel, one of the BMW Sauber F1 Team's 2006 Official Coporate Partners, has produced its fist advert featuring Jacques Villeneuve. The 1997 World Champion appears in an advertising campaign for Intel's Centrino Duo with the catch line "Now entertainment really comes to life in your lap."

The advert first aired during the weekend of the Malaysian Grand Prix – a race with high importance for the team and its sponsors. With Jacques well known interest in computers (particularly fast gaming computers, fast connection speeds and large capacities) it seems like the ideal combination of F1 driving celebrity and sponsor endorsement for BMW-Sauber.

The ads support Intel’s new focus on Intel Centrino Duo technology with dual-core processing. In a series of ads, celebrities appear on a users’ lap in place of or alongside a laptop. The three new TV spots star Mariah Carey, Elijah Woods and Jacques Villeneuve.
