Alfa Romeo announces new partnership with Sabelt

Ahead of the 2022 F1 season, Alfa Romeo has announced a new partnership with Sabelt, the global leader in the development and production of high-performance safety equipment.

Sabelt is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of original equipment car seats, seatbelts, high-performance seats for road use sports cars and seatbelts for aerospace and defense applications. Sabelt was founded in 1972 and started as a manufacturer of safety seatbelts for original equipment.

The Swiss-Italian outfit has confirmed a new partnership with Sabelt that will give the team's drivers access to the most innovative and advanced products, while allowing Sabelt to benefit from the team’s extensive motorsport know-how.

Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur said: “Joining forces with Sabelt is a very positive development for the team and the company as a whole. Safety is paramount and we owe the improvements of the last decades to the relentless research and development of a brand like Sabelt. The gains and innovation deriving from this work not only benefit our drivers, but the wider population of road users as well as the technology is eventually transferred to everyday life.”
