Alpine takes the wraps off their 2023 Formula One car
Formula One's only French outfit, Alpine have become the final F1 team to reveal their 2023 car, pulling the covers off the brand-new A523 during a ceremony in London.
Alpine intends to build on a successful 2022 season which saw the team secure fourth place in the Constructors' Championship, emerging as closest challengers to Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.
The Anglo-French team will embark on the new challenges in the upcoming season with a new driver line-up after two-time former world champion Fernando Alonso decided to leave the team. His place will be occupied by former Red Bull racer Pierre Gasly who will form an all-French driver line-up for the French team with Esteban Ocon, who is set to complete his fourth season with the team.

The Enstone-based outfit has already completed a filming day to shake down the new car with both drivers having a first taste of the new A523.
Speaking about the shakedown, Alpine Technical Director Matt Harman said: “It’s been another milestone ticked for the A523 with our shakedown at Silverstone and I’m pleased the day ran so smoothly.
“Esteban drove first in the morning to check all the systems were working properly as well as completing the usual install programme for the car. Pierre was then in the car in the afternoon for the first time in the A523 and completed eight stable laps to get an initial feel in his new surroundings.
“These days are of course limited and not representative, but we’ve certainly had a great day and we now look forward to testing in Bahrain where we expect to continue our learning of the 2023 car.”
Alpine's new car will hit the track for the next time at the Bahrain International Circuit when the three-day pre-season test begins a week today on February 23 before the opening Bahrain GP on March 5.
