Having felt pressure from McLaren and Mercedes in recent rounds, reigning world champion team, Red Bull has brought a modified floor to the British Grand Prix.

With McLaren and Mercedes having posed a serious threat in recent rounds, championship runaway leader Max Verstappen has urged his team to introduce upgrades to be able to fend off the attacks from the Woking and Brackley-based outfits.

At Silverstone, Red Bull has submitted two performance upgrades with both centred around the floor of the RB20.

The team has slightly re-profiled the surface above and behind the lower SIS tube. The team noted that the optimisation of the upper floor surface aims to get more energy thus pressure to the floor edge wing.

Alongside the changes to the upper surface of the floor, the team has also made minor tweaks to the floor edge wing. The aim was “to add more camber deriving more load whilst respecting the necessity for flow stability.”
