After two successful seasons in the FIA Formula E World Championship, the DS Penske Formula E team and Stoffel Vandoorne have decided to part ways ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign.
The Belgian driver joined the DS Penske squad as Jean-Eric Vergne’s team mate in 2022 .Vandoorne, who secured his first podium with DS Penske at Monaco in May, has made a key contribution to the points haul that allowed DS PENSKE to claim third place in the teams’ championship this year.
The Belgian driver ended the season with two ninth place finishes at last weekend's London double header to round out his season. The former Formula E champion finished tenth in the championship.
With Formula E's tenth season having drawn to a close only a few days ago, DS Penske and Vandoorne have announced the conclusion of their partnership in the all-electic racing series.
Commenting on the announcement, DS Performance Director, Eugenio Franzetti noted: “It has been a real pleasure to work with Stoffel, who is an extremely professional and talented driver.
"Together with JEV, he delivered a key contribution to the creation of a very solid team and helped to score the points that gave us an excellent third place in the championship last weekend. We now go our separate ways, but I’m sure that the 2022 world champion is set for some exciting new adventures in the future!”
