Russell at Mallora, Norris in Ljubljana, Hamilton in Turkey - Where did drivers depart from Spa?

George Russell headed to Palma de Mallora, Lando Norris and McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown to Ljubljana while seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton travelled to Turkey. F1Technical's senior writer Balazs Szabo reveals where drivers headed from the Belgian Grand Prix for the summer break.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton enjoyed a successful Belgian Grand Prix. Although the Briton ‘only’ won the Spa race after inheriting the victory following his team-mate George Russell’s disqualification, he was the quickest driver among those who completed the 44-lap race distance with a two-stop strategy.

Hamilton arrived at the Liege airport with an Aerospatiale AS350, and headed to Bodrum, Turkey with a Cessna Citation XLS+.
Having lost his sensational win at Spa due to a technical infringement, his team-mate George Russell travelled with a Cessna CitationJet CJ2 to Palma de Mallorca.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff travelled from Liege to Olbia, Italy with a Bombardier Global 6000.

Accompanied by his father Lawrence Stroll, Lance Stroll arrived at the Liege airport with a T7-LSS helicopter. The two Strolls departed from Liege to Nice with a Bombardier Global 7500.

Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso had company on his flight with a Dassault Falcon 2000 back to Monaco with Hungarian Grand Prix winner Oscar Piastri having joined the Spaniard.

Reigning world champion Max Verstappen also headed to Nice which is the nearest airport to Monaco. The Dutchman flew with a Dassault Falcon 900.

His team-mate Sergio Perez made a long trip from Belgian to Guadalajara, Mexico with a Bombardier Challenger 604.

After the Belgian Grand Prix, Red Bull Christian Horner travelled back to Oxford, UK with a Bombardier Challenger 3500 as he was set to take part in a crucial meeting about the driver line-up of the Milton Keynes team and the Visa Cash RB App outfit.

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly flew from Liege to Faro, Portugal with a Cessna Citation Latitude.

Ferrari racer Carlos Sainz headed to Edinburgh, UK with a Bombardier Challenger 350. The Spaniard’s girlfriend, Rebecca Donaldson is a Scottish model. The three-time F1 race winner was first linked to the Scottish model in the summer of 2023.

Flying with a Cessna Citation XLS+, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur headed back to Bologna which is the nearest big airport to the Scuderia’s Maranello-based headquarters.

Lando Norris and McLaren team boss Zak Brown flew together to Ljubjana, Slovenia with an Embraer Phenom 300.
