Formula E: Nico Muller replaces Norman Nato at Andretti Formula E team

Having left the ABT outfit at the end of the current Formula E season, Nico Muller has joined the Andretti Global Formula E team for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign, replacing the outgoing Norman Nato.

Nico Muller joins the Andretti Global Formula E team for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign to team up with 2022/2023 World Champion Jake Dennis.

Muller has also become a Porsche factory driver with his move to Andretti. Whether and in which other racing series Muller will compete for Porsche Motorsport is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.

Muller has plenty of experience in Formula E. He has been competing in the innovative electric racing series since the 2019/2020 season and has sat out only the 2021/2022 season. In the most recent racing season, he achieved his best result to date with twelfth place overall for the Abt Cupra Formula E Team. With the highly efficient Porsche 99X Electric, he will now be driving the world championship winning car of the past two years.

Commenting on the signing of Nico Müller, Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport said: “Welcome to the Porsche family, Nico Müller! We are delighted to welcome another professional with such extensive and varied motorsport experience to our squad.

“Nico has already successfully demonstrated his skills in various challenging racing series. Among other things, he has won the Nürburgring 24 Hours and was twice runner-up in the DTM.

“We initially expect his expertise in formula racing to play a crucial role for Porsche’s Formula E programme. We will announce at a later date whether and in which other series Nico will also drive for Porsche.”
