Formula E reveals calendar for 2024/2025 season
Ahead of its 10th season, the FIA Formula E World Championship has revealed the schedule for the 2024/2025 campaign that will kick off in Sao Paulo in December.
The all-electric motorsport series has revealed its schedule for Season 11, following ratification at the FIA's meeting of the World Motor Sport Council. The forthcoming season will mark 16 races across 10 locations around the world with new destinations on the horizon - including a return to Miami in the United States of America, and double-headers in Tokyo and Monaco as well as a first-ever trip to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Having made its debut this year, the Misano E-Prix was removed from the calendar which means that there will be no Formula E race in Italy in the 2024/2025 season.
The Riyadh Street Circuit Saudi has hosted the Saudi Arabian Formula E rounds in recent years, but the location will be moved to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which will mark its first ever Jeddah ePrix.
In addition, the Miami E-Prix was reintroduced to the calendar, the first race in Florida since 2015, replacing the Portland ePrix. The event will move from the Biscayne Bay Street Circuit to the Homestead–Miami Speedway, which previously hosted IMSA GT Championship, the one-off Ferrari Winter Series for developmental single-seater drivers, and currently hosts numerous club races.
Furthermore, the Monaco E-Prix will become a double header for the first time in the race's history, while the Tokyo E-Prix weekend will also host two races in the new season.
The Jakarta E-Prix will return to the calendar, after a cancellation in season 10 due to elections in the country.
