Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will race with a slightly different RB20 at this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix, with a splash of pink set to appear on traditional color scheme.

Ahead of this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix, Red Bull has announced a collaboration with Hard Rock International that will feature special pink branding, "uniting speed, power and purpose in the fight against breast cancer."

As part of the campaign, RB20 will carry a splash of pink on its navy, red and yellow livery. In addition, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez’s racesuits and driver underwear will also feature a splash of pink in honour of Pinktober.

The entertainment powerhouse will then present an auction of rare and exclusive items, including Verstappen and Perez’s race gear with the pink logo, with the proceeds split between Red Bull’s Wings for Life charity and the Hard Rock Heals Foundation.

The presence of the pink Hard Rock branding is part of a month dedicated to the elevation of the awareness of the importance of prevention and routine screening for the early diagnosis of breast cancer.

The team has noted that it turned the internal internet system pink at the Red Bull Technology Campus, pink ribbons were sold with a QR code pushing staff to information pages and the Pinktober donation page and the workforce wore pink. Importantly while fun initiatives for awareness took place, like pink balls on the Campus padel courts and pink themed menus, there is also “check yourself” guidelines being displayed in every changing room on campus and a downloadable guide.

Sports globally have united together in the fight for breast cancer awareness and Hard Rock have collaborated with NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, as well as Lionel Messi, who will donate a pair of autographed football boots, worn during an Inter Miami game, to the Pinktober auction.
