Just over a week after the season-closing Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ferrari have revealed the launch date for their brand-new car that will be unveiled at the Scuderia's headquarters in Maranello.

In the face of an impressive performance in the second half of the current season, Ferrari are heading into the new season with high expectations. Carlos Sainz left the team at the conclusion of the current season, and the Spaniard will be replaced by seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who is expected to complete a few laps with a two-year-old Ferrari in January under the 'Testing of Previous Cars' regulations.

Teams will face a challenging decision next year as the upcoming season will be the last one under the current technical regulation before sweeping changes kick in both in terms of aerodynamics and the power units. It means that teams will be prompted to switch their attention from the 2025 F1 season to the 2026 challengers much earlier than they usually do mid-season.

As for the Maranello-based outfit, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has revealed during the Scuderia's usual pre-Christmas media day that the new car will be "99 per cent" new.

“Sometimes you don't feel that you are taking risks and you realise a bit later that was very risky. The car will be a completely new one. I think we have something less than 1% of the common parts that we will carry over. It's a different project, but it's true for everybody," concluded the Frenchman.

The team has now revealed that it will unveil the new car on 19th February, a day after Formula One's inaugural launch event that will take place at London’s 02 Arena.

Ferrari's decision to show off their new car a day after F1's launch event means that they will only unveil the 2025 livery on last year's car, while the new one will be revealed only at Maranello.

The Scuderia usually holds a filming day after the presentation during which teams are restricted to a maximum of 200km on Pirelli's presentation tyres, and it is expected to do the same to allow Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to rack up a few laps before the car is shipped to Bahrain for pre-season.
