Glock set to make his full-time DTM return

Former Formula One driver Timo Glock is set to make his full-time racing comeback in the German touring car championship, DTM, joining Doerr McLaren in 2025.

Glock, who made his F1 debut in 2004 with Jordan Ford, raced in the American Champ Car Series the following series. He then returned to Europe to compete in the GP2 series, finishing in fourth place in 2006 before clinching the title in the following year.

He then returned to Formula One, racing for Toyota in 2008 and 2009 finishing 10th in the World Drivers' Championship in both 2008 and 2009, amongst three podium finishes. After the shock exit of Toyota, Glock competed for Virgin and Marussia from 2010 until 2012.

After leaving Formula One at the end of the 2012 season, Glock became a factory driver for BMW in the 2013 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, achieving his first DTM podium at the Red Bull Ring, and a first win at the season finale at the Hockenheimring.

Having contested nine DTM season, the German driver is set to embark on his first full DTM season since his departure from BMW, joining Doerr Motorsport for the team’s second year in the series.

The five-time DTM race winner will pilot one of the German team’s two McLaren 720S GT3 Evos, teaming up with team regular Ben Doerr, replacing Clemens Schmid.
