A1 ring revamped

The A1 Ring, which will host the Austrian Grand Prix in a couple of weeks from now, has recently been bought by Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz has plans to invest €200m in the circuit for a huge redevelopment programme, which will include renaming the racing circuit the Red Bull Ring.The Red Bull boss is out to keep F1 on the Red bull ring calender, and is therefor rumoured to be in a deal with Philippe Gurdjian. Gurdjian used to be the organiser of the French GP but in recent years has helped Malaysia and Spain develop their events while also overseeing the reconstruction of the Paul Ricard circuit for Ecclestone.Ironically Hans Geist, the current Austrian GP organiser, is expected to be taken on as the project manager of the Bahrain Grand Prix, following a long meeting with Bahraini officials at the Spanish GP.
