Turkey to host F1 in 2005?
Bernie Ecclestone is said to have provisionally agreed with Turkey to let them host a round of the Formula One championship in the 2005 season. There has been speculation for some time that an event would be held in Turkey in the future, however Bahrain and China received the go ahead first, both hosting events in 2004. However, the proposed deal with Turkey is said to be costing over five million less than Bahrain and only half the price China has been asked to pay.Circuit designer Hermann Tilke will probably responsible for the design of the new Turkish circuit, just like he was responsible for multiple other circuits on the F1 calendar.
