I like the circuit in Barcelona

Like in Bahrain, Malaysia and Australia, BMW Sauber F1 Team test driver, Robert Kubica, has still not competed in a Formula One race at Barcelona. Nevertheless, the 'Circuit de Catalunya' is everything but unknown to the Pole.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team has already conducted some tests on the Spanish race track, which Robert all took part in. During these tests he was able to become acquainted with the circuit.

"Unfortunatly I've never raced in Barcelona. My first experience there was my debut Formula One test last December," Robert Kubica explains. "But since then I've had eight or nine days of testing on the circuit."

Despite is lack in experience, the 21-year-old is optimistic prior to the Spanish Grand Prix: "This Grand Prix is special because of all the testing that takes place here. I like the circuit in Barcelona with its long, fast corners."

Robert rates the track, which was only recently modernised, very highly in comparison to other circuits on the F1 calendar. "In my opinion it's one of the best Formula One tracks - it's challenging and great fun driving an F1 car there. I'm really looking forward to the weekend."
