Flavio Briatore, who had an operation last week, revealed that he had didn't have kidney stones as said earlier, but cancer in one of his kidneys. Flavio was diagnosed after a routine medical check-up in the United States earlier this year.

Flavio Briatore "I had cancer in my left kidney. Six months from now my life would have been very different had I not gone for that check-up."

The flamboyant Italian admitted the scare has forced him into changing his lavish lifestyle: "I used to feel immortal, but I found out that I am just like everybody else."
