Toyota's busy week

The Bridgestone-shod Panasonic Toyota Racing team hasn't had much of a break since the Hungarian Grand Prix. Last weekend it carried out some demonstration runs in the centre of Helsinki with Jarno Trulli, and it now heads to the Laguna Seca road course in California for more demo runs.

This weekend is the Monterey Historic Automobile Races meeting at Laguna Seca, and Toyota's TF106 will be demonstrated on Friday, Saturday and Sunday by its third driver Ricardo Zonta.

"The Toyota Racing team is excited and honoured to share our F1 car with everyone at the Monterey Historic Event," said team boss John Howett. "With only one race in the USA, it is difficult for fans to experience F1 and to get an idea of the technology behind it.

"We look forward to showcasing the evolution of F1 car construction and giving fans the chance to experience F1 live and up close in the garage."

The legendary Laguna Seca has never hosted an F1 Grand Prix - it is traditionally a ChampCar and MotoGP venue.
