Vettel fastest during first free practice
After only a few minutes, the first free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix was stopped as Anthony Davidson's Honda halted on track with smoke coming from the rear of the car. As most of the race drivers only did an installation lap, it were the third drivers who were at the top of the time sheets. Sebastian Vettel, who made his debut at Turkey, was fastest this morning with a time of 1:23:263.
Vettel was followed by team mate Robert Kubica. The Williams F1 Team test driver, Alexander Wurz, clocked the third time. This afternoon, the second free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix is scheduled.
