The Honda Racing F1 Team’s Anthony Davidson will make a guest appearance at GP100, the UK’s only on-track event celebrating 100 years of grand prix racing. Organised by the Vintage Sports-Car Club, ‘GP100 at SeeRed’ will take place at UK race circuit Donington Park over the weekend of 23/24 September, with Sunday’s action featuring 10 races plus a Formula One demonstration reflecting every major era in GP racing’s first century.

Anthony will open the course for the afternoon’s racing, then meet enthusiasts and answer questions before joining the event’s commentary team; no doubt he feel right at home following regular F1 contributions with BBC Radio Five Live and his one-off appearance on ITV-F1’s Hungarian GP coverage.

"The VSCC always encourages young people into motor sport,” said SeeRed Event Director Julian Ghosh, “and Anthony Davidson, with the Honda Racing F1 Team, epitomises the promise of an exciting next era during an event that celebrates an illustrious past."

For those wishing to attend the evocative event, Saturday 23 September will see practice for the main races including the Thoroughbred Grand Prix Car Championship and superb support races from Sports Racing Masters, Lansdowne Motor Cycles and VSCC two-hour team relay race for pre-WW2 sports-cars. Other attractions include a trade village, air displays, grand prix car exhibition and a classic car party for those arriving in their own classic vehicle.
