BMW Sauber F1 Team wraps up Jerez test

It was the final day of testing for the BMW Sauber F1 Team in 2006. Robert Kubica, Nick Heidfeld and Sebastian Vettel focussed on the Bridgestone tyres and long runs. The next time the team will be in action will be during the launch of their 2007 challenger.

Sebastian Vettel Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06B-04 / BMW P86 V8
Test kilometres today: 509 km (115 laps)
Fastest lap: 1:20.081 min (on lap 14)

Programme: This was the final day of the three day test and, as the BMW Sauber F1 Team had almost completed its entire programme during the first two days, was used to validate the data gathered on Wednesday and Thursday. Apart from this, Robert did some more work on the gearbox and both cars completed some long runs. The distance covered by both cars during the three test days is a total of 2,806 kilometres.

What comes next:
Today was not only the final day of the Jerez test, but the final day of testing for 2006. The test team members will now have some well earned holidays, and the next time the team is in 'action' will be at the launch of the 2007 car at Valencia on the 16th January.
