The World Series by Renault Organizing Committee has completed pre-selection of the five remaining teams that will take part in the 2007 World Series Formula Renault 3.5 championship. The Organizing Committee consists of Jean-Paul Mari (Motor Sport and Communications Director, Renault Sport), François Sicard (Circuit Racing Manager, Renault Sport), Jaime Alguersuari (President, RPM Racing) and Jordi Castells (Motor Sport Director, RPM Racing).

After ten teams were pre-selected on November 15, the five remaining teams were chosen on December 15. The list of the 15 pre-selected teams for 2007 is as follows:

• Carlin Motorsport
• Comtec Team United Kingdom
• Draco Multiracing USA
• Epsilon-Euskadi
• Eurointernational
• Interwetten.com Racing
• KTR
• Prema Power Team

Jenzer Motorsport has therefore decided against taking part in the championship. The Swiss team, who will continue to take part in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, reached an agreement with Fortec Motorsport, to whom it has handed over its two Formula Renault 3.5 cars.

The Organizing Committee would like thank Jenzer Motorsport and the teams who were not selected, Signature and Euronova Racing, for expressing an interest in taking part in the championship.

The pre-selected teams must now sign a participation agreement by January 15, 2007.
