Barrichello and Klien share testing duties
Rubens Barrichello continued the test programme for the Honda Racing F1 Team at the Paul Ricard circuit on Thursday morning. The track had now been changed from its original tight Monte Carlo layout to a longer Montreal configuration so that the teams can prepare for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Rubens spent his early runs finding a good balance on the car before completing an intensive evaluation of various aero configurations. In total he completed 71 laps before handing the car over to Christian Klien for the remainder of the day.
Christian also used his initial laps to find a good set-up on the new track configuration, which had been changed since his running on Tuesday. Unfortunately during his tyre evaluation programme, he suffered an engine failure, which brought an early end to his afternoon after 25 laps.
Jenson Button will take over the car for the fourth and final day of the test tomorrow.
