My strength is my head - Kubica
During the past Grand Prix races, Robert Kubica, the Polish BMW Sauber F1 Team driver, has been able to finish in the points three consecutive times, which is the longest series of successes in his young Formula One career.
Robert had experienced an unlucky start to the season. In the first race of the 2007 Formula One season in Australia, the BMW Sauber F1 Team driver failed to cross the finish line and was forced to retire in fourth position due to a technical problem. And technical issues also made his life difficult in the following race in Malaysia. While he managed to make it to the line this time, he didn't score any points.
The Bahrain GP marked Robert's return to the path of success - a path, which he hasn't left since. The Polish driver was able to finish among the top eight drivers three times in a row and collected 12 World Championship points. Only three drivers were even more successful in the same period of time. Currently, Robert is in seventh place of the Drivers' Championship.
Kubica believes the main reason for his success is his mental strength: "My strength is my head," says the 22-year-old. "Mentally I'm pretty strong and I have learned especially in last few seasons that 50 or even more percent of your success is done by your head and by your mental preparation and that's really important."
