RaceSalon to kick-off tomorrow
Tomorrow the preview event for 'Bavaria City Racing' will kick-off in Ahoy in Rotterdam. RaceSalon is the biggest inside paddock of the world with 3 different halls which will give the motor racing fans the opportunity to experience the world of racing from nearby.
In the Monaco Hall, all the participants of the Bavaria City Racing will show their cars and trucks. The ING Renault F1 Team and the Spyker F1 Team will take a central spot in the Monaco Hall. Not only the cars will be at display, but you will also have the opportunity to meet Heikki Kovalainen, Nelson Piquet Jr., Christijan Albers and Adrian Sutil.
Beside Renault and Spyker, Honda and Toyota will be present at the event as well, just like many cars and drivers from other racing disciplines like WTCC, A1GP, F3,.... The proud of Rotterdam, Robert Doornbos, will be present with his Champ Car Team and will give a demo in the Experience Hall. This will warm up the crowd for the European races of the Champ Car Series in Zolder and Assen.
In the Engine Hall, the emphasis is on the technical site of motor racing. The visitors can step into one of the cars to take a anti-slip class and for the children there is a 'drive for kids'-track and the Renault kinderkart-track.
The last hall is the Experience Hall were spectacular demo's are scheduled: F1 demo's, a Champ Car demo with Robert Doornbos, WTCC demo's, 2VC races, BMW balloonraces,.... The visitors also have the opportunity to experience the feeling of riding in the Dakar as just outside Ahoy a Dakar-circuit is constructed and some of the Dutch Dakar drivers will take you in their car or on their motorbike.
On Saturday, F1Technical will be present in Ahoy to report on the event.
