Briatore to buy football club
Renault F1 Team boss, Flavio Briatore, will according to reports become the new owner of the English second division football club Queens Park Rangers. Briatore will wipe out the club's debt of 17 million pounds ($33.78 million) and invest an extra 100 million pounds over the course of three years.
Gianni Paladini, the Chairman of the Rangers declared to newspaper the 'Sun': "Mr Briatore wants to do for QPR what Mohamed Al Fayed has done for Fulham and turn us into a Premier League club. It is a dream come true for all the fans and saves this club from liquidation."
