A conspiracy to favour Kimi - Coulthard
After all the conspiracy theories at McLaren this season, David Coulthard now believes to have found a conspiracy theory at Ferrari. During the thursday press conference at Istanbul Park, Coulthard questioned the intentions of Ferrari during the Hungarian qualifying.
During the Hungarian qualifying session, Felipe Massa's Ferrari stopped as he was driving out of the pit lane. It appeared that because of a mistake of the team, there wasn't any fuel added to Massa's F2007.
Massa's chances for a good qualifying time were ruined and also his race. The Brazilian only finished in 13th position and had to see how his team mate, Kimi Raikkonen, passed him in the standings.
David Coulthard declared today: "How do we know that Ferrari didn't deliberately not put fuel in Felipe's car? Maybe that was a team decision to benefit Kimi. How do you forget to put fuel in a car?"
Felipe Massa replied immediately as he was also present during the press conference: Yes, but it was not on purpose. It was a misunderstanding."
Coulthard ended the conversation saying: "A pretty fundamental misunderstanding. I think it's a conspiracy to favour Kimi. Good luck."
