Felipe Massa won the Turkish Grand Prix this afternoon. It's the second year in a row that the Brazilian can spray the champagne at Istanbul Park. Massa was joined on the podium by team mate Kimi Raikkonen and McLaren driver Fernando Alonso. Lewis Hamilton only finished in 5th position due to a flat tyre.

The Ferrari's immediately took charge of the race with Massa maintaining his pole position while Raikkonen shot past Hamilton. World Champion Fernando Alonso however lost 2 places to the BMW Sauber cars.

It was quickly obvious that Hamilton could not equal the pace of both Ferrari's. He managed however to stay close to the leaders until before his second stop where he suffered a tyre puncture. The Briton therefore lost his chances to get a podium place and dropped to 5th. Alonso meanwhile moved up to third, profiting from Lewis' problem and passing both BMW Sauber's thanks to their early stops.

Behind Hamilton, Kovalainen put the first Renault in 6th place. Nico Rosberg added 2 points to his tally and was followed by the second BMW Sauber of Robert Kubica.
