Hamilton misquoted about gearbox incident
The journalist from the newspaper 'La Presse' that reported that Lewis Hamilton said that he pressed the wrong button, now declares that he misquoted the Briton. The newsreport was quoted by several websites which resulted in the fact that everybody believed that Hamilton cracked under the pressure.
Talking to autosport.com, the journalist said: "My mistake was using a quote by Lewis when I did not talk to him myself. I had other verifiable information and I stand by my report, but under the time pressure I made a mistake by using that quote."
