Plenty of interest but still no 2008 contract for Kovalainen
In an interview with ITV, Heikki Kovalainen admitted that he's still not sure where he will drive in 2008. The driver market is still waiting for the decision of Fernando Alonso. Kovalainen, who finished his rookie season in 7th place, admitted that he isn't only talking with Renault but that there have been talks with plenty of other teams as well.
Heikki Kovalainen said: "We have been talking to many teams and all I can say is I have a contract with Renault until the end of the year. We have to wait and see what the other guys do.
"I hope I am in a competitive team next year. I think Renault can be very competitive next year. It's still very difficult to say what is going to happen."
