First progress report in Australia - Kubica
The BMW Sauber F1 Team last week completed the first test programme of the new year and gathered valuable data with the BMW Sauber F1.08. However, Robert Kubica believes that the first real opportunity to gauge progress remains the first race of the season in Melbourne.
The BMW Sauber F1 Team spent four days testing at the "Circuit de la Comunitat" in Valencia, and the hard work continues this week. On Tuesday, Robert and team-mate Nick Heidfeld will return to testing at the 4.005 km track. "Everyone is giving everything to develop the car and get the maximum potential out of it", Kubica comments on the important pre-season phase.
The starting basis provided by the F.08 is very promising. "The wind tunnel and information provided by our engineers show us that the new car has made great progress in terms of performance", says Robert. "However, we will have to wait until Australia for the definitive answer."
