Luizzi to race at the Nurburgring
Team Red Bull racing have given the nod to Vitantonio Liuzzi to race at the Nurburgring. At first it was announced before that the team would evaluate their two drivers after the 6th race, but now it seems that will have to wait a little longer. Nothing is decided however of who will team up with David Coulthard after the European Grand Prix.
''After having evaluated both drivers' performance during their three race stints,'' team chief Christian Horner explained, ''(we) have decided that Tonio will continue as race driver at ... Germany.''
A disappointed Klien, though - to the Austrian media - vowed to continue to 'do my best' in the Nurburgring third car: ''All I can say is that I gave my best efforts and I was happy with how I performed.''
With the same drivers as during the last 3 races, the team will be hoping for better things in the less flashy surroundings of the ‘Ring. The Scotsman has started from pole position twice at this track, as did the Italian in F3000 last year. Tonio will be keen to shine this weekend, as Christian Klien returns to the role of Coulthard’s team-mate at the following Canadian Grand Prix.
