Focus on new parts for BMW Sauber
Due to the wet track proper test work was delayed until the latter part of the morning session. When the track finally had dried up Nick Heidfeld and the team’s new test driver Christian Klien continued to work on the set-up of the BMW Sauber F1.08.
Driving the car in dry conditions for the first time Klien further familiarized himself with the car doing system checks and some basic set-up work. In the afternoon both drivers followed the team’s testing program as scheduled. Completing 75 and 42 laps respectively Heidfeld and Klien continued to develop the car. The main focus was on collecting data using some new parts.
What comes next:
The BMW Sauber F1 Team continues testing for two more days in Barcelona. Tomorrow Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica will be the drivers.
