Renault to install Xtreme-X2 supercomputer

It appears that the ING Renault F1 Team is set to become the next F1 team to install a supercomputer. Appro, a California-based company, has a contract to supply a high-performance 'Xtreme-X2' supercomputer to the new CFD facility of Renault at Enstone.

The supercomputer will be installed at the factory by the end of June. BMW already use similar systems with Albert and more recently the Albert2.
